As a female founded brand, we believe we have a duty to support women's issues. We commit to use our platform to spread knowledge, share resources, and give love to those around us. Below are some examples of how we've engaged with our community while keeping our core values close.
Anti Asian Hate + AAPI Heritage Month
Through our Celebrating the Modern Asian Woman Campaign, we declared our commitment to fight against racist and reprehensible actions towards the Asian community. To show our support, we have made GoFundMe donations to organizations that are actively uplifting, protecting, and supporting the AAPI community.
Black Lives Matter Movement
We join the fight for the end of racism, suppression, and to live in a future where we are all are seen equal. We have committed to examine our own vendors and teams, and have made donations to the NAACP, Loveland Foundation, and the George Floyd Memorial Fund.
Pandemic Engagement
Together with the Better x Brands coalition formed to support those most affected with COVID-19, Alala and 140 other brands have donated over $3.8 million in total to organizations such as No Kid Hungry and City Meals On Wheels.
Legalize Equality
For International Women’s Day 2018, we partnered with Equal Means Equal to raise money and awareness for the Equal Rights Amendment - legislation that puts protection for women and other marginalized genders into the US Constitution.
Alala x Pride
We celebrate love and fight for equality. 50% of our proceeds from this capsule went to the Human Rights Campaign funding efforts supporting the Equality Act.
Battle All Day
The Battle All Day Collection is Alala's commitment to the fight against breast cancer. A portion of proceeds from the collection were donated to support the therapeutic services offered at Weill Cornell Breast Center.
Superbodies
Every body is a super body. We are continually celebrating the diversity that makes up our collective womanhood. Though we might differ in age, gender, race, size, ability, and religions, we firmly believe all should celebrated and respected.
Alala x Womankind
In honor of International Women's Day 2019, we collaborated with Womankind on a capsule collection. All profits were donated directly to helping Womankind, an organization helping survivors of gender-based violence to rise above trauma and build a path to healing.
