Be a Confident Woman In and Out of the Gym

Confidence is something that stays with you. It doesn’t get left behind at the gym. It doesn’t fade throughout the day as a matte lipstick can. Why, then, can it be so difficult to keep your confidence levels consistent? How is it possible to deliver a killer business presentation in the morning but then second guess your moves in an evening zumba class?

Confidence is a funny thing. The trick is to “own it” and we’ll teach you how. Every woman deserves to feel self-assured in all her daily endeavors.
You CAN do It. Tips for Boosting Your Confidence Levels:
  • Get out of your head. Be present and stop worrying about how you might look, feel or smell. This disconnection hinders confidence levels and affects performance in and out of the gym. In most cases, people aren’t focused on what you’re doing. In fact, many are probably worried that you might be watching them
  • Take care of yourself. What you put into something is what you get out of it. Pampering  yourself is so important. Do this by eating a healthy diet, getting enough rest each day and enjoying alone time. No one can do this for you, so you must do this for yourself.
  • Maintain a work/life balance. Giving all of your energy to one aspect of life leads to disharmony. Maintain a healthy work/life balance that nourishes your entire self. This may mean cutting off emails and phone calls past a certain time so work doesn’t spill over into your personal life.
  • Go in with a plan. Having a plan helps you feel less overwhelmed when you enter the gym. Review workout plans online and find your niche. Over time, you’ll make efficient use of your time and become comfortable with various routines and exercise programs, especially if you’re in the proper activewear.
  • Be you. Wear the clothes you want. Style your hair the way you like. When you act like yourself, you’re in your element. This leads to confidence - and it shows! If you try to act like someone else, chances are you’ll lose some assurance.
Never let doubt or uncertainty hold you back from reaching your full potential. By working on the tips above, you can slowly increase confidence levels in and out of the gym. Remember, confidence doesn’t get left behind. The more you work on it, the more it will penetrate into all areas of your life.
